Testing Concrete Floor for Moisture

Concrete floor moisture testing is a big deal. Flooring installations can be made or broken depending on whether the concrete slab is moisture-ready.
Even if you're not contemplating doing anything with your concrete slab (usually basement slabs) right now, it may be instructive to test for moisture.
You have two types of moisture: a.) the moisture lingering from the concrete pour; b.) if this is an old slab, potential moisture coming up from below.
Types of Plumbing Pipes
The plumbing pipes are broadly divided into metal and non-metal and
the materials that are most commonly used for piping are steel,
copper, PVC, CPVC and PEX. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes are
used for cold water only (since hot water will warp them) and are
used typically for drains; the PVC pipes are normally white or gray
and are less expensive than the metal pipes.
